ICC are delighted to announce that they will be exhibiting at ATC GLOBAL 09, the world’s largest event for the air traffic control and management industry.

ICC nomination for ATC Global awards - 2008

Ifield Computer Consultancy Limited (ICC) were delighted to announce that they were nominated once again for the ATC Global awards in 2008.
ICC were nominated for the “innovation award” in 2005 for their ATRAK-IMS® Information Management System and again in 2007 for their new ATRAK-Xrecorder® ATC Data Recording system. In 2008 ICC were nominated in the “Developer” category for their integration work at the new Integrated Air Traffic Control Centre (IATCC), in Jenec, Prague, Czech Republic.
The IATCC was one of the largest projects of its kind in the Czech Republic, representing the largest investment ever made by ANS CR. The IATCC was awarded the Czech Republic “Building 2005” prize, and ICC’s involvement included the upgrading and migration of “mission-critical” ATC and “Back-Office” MIS systems to the new centre. This involved all aspects of ICC systems migration including IT infrastructure, servers, workstations, specialist monitors, critical data backup, as well as operating system and application upgrading, testing and deployment.
ICC played an integral part in delivering the right hardware and software skills and services to ensure the success of this project. ICC installed over 120 specialist ATC controller workstations, 8 high-availability, mission critical servers, (ensuring “non-stop” operations), as well as the secure extension of working positions operating with ICC’s ATRAK© ATC applications.
ICC’s role in such a major project underlines their expertise, commitment, and co-operation and the culmination of over 17 years of collaboration with ANS CR's dedicated team of ATC experts and project managers. A combination of collaboration and innovation in implementing new technologies has ensured a smooth transition during live operations at the IATCC.
“We were once again delighted that ICC had been nominated for this prestigious award,” said George Parobek, Managing Director at ICC. “The success of the IATCC project to the ongoing development of ANS CR was critical and ICC is proud to have played such a significant role in its success. The expansion and modernisation of Air Traffic Control systems in the IATCC will ensure that ANS CR can deliver the best possible Air Navigation services, now and in the future”.
The ATC Global 2008 awards were held on Tuesday 11th March 2008, at the Holland Restaurant, Amsterdam RAI.
